Within Walls is a non-profit organization providing art to those in need by repurposing art from discarded books. Working under Elana Schlenker, I developed a modular identity system for flexibility of use.
LOGO
The Within Walls logo is a monogram that is flexible to adapting for different dimensions, colors, and treatments.
TYPOGRAPHY + COLOR
Figue by Good Type is a friendly but refined serif that contrasts the bold monogram. An 8-color palette allows for flexible usage in pairing against stylistic differences amongst artworks, and black can be used to typeset longform bodies of text where legibility is a concern.
PATTERN + PIN
The pattern is built off of the monogram and can be stacked to accommodate for different dimensions. Solid-fill and outline variations paired with various colors allows for many combinations to best optimize showcasing art.
The floating dot can be used in social media posts and print collateral as a “pin” — a graphic thumbtack to emulate pinned up artwork.
